Comfy bed. Parking was extra, hotel was clean but the windows were so dirty we could barely enjoy the river view

The Renaissance did an excellent job with theming the rooms to Toledo's industrial roots. Someone really took a lot of time to edit little details throughout the room and in the entire property. The rooftop bar/restaurant was active with a great crowd. In the morning, the first floor restaurants serves excellent fresh foods/juices with tall windows the view the riverfront while eating. The hotel feels very upscale, I look forward to coming back to Toledo to explore more of the town and this hotel.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Toledo. Check-in was quick, however the staff did not mention any info on amenities, hours, restaurants etc at the hotel. Did not acknowledge Elite member status. Did not talk about Toledo or the immediate area, things to see and do etc. Just basically- heres your room keys, elevator is on my right, your left.have a good one. Room itself was large, we had a suite. The furniture was older and almost all of it had stains all over them. Some of the stains looked really gross. The carpet in our suite needs to go. They looked worn and tired. Ours had numerous cigarette burn holes in them- which goes to show you how old these carpets probably are. My wife wouldnt walk on it with bare feet. Not the experience we find ideal. The bathroom vanity was worn down where the varnish was completely worn off and the bare wood exposed. Some of the other furnishings such as the tv stand and coat hooks, etc seem more modern. I will say the room itself was clean, despite the aged, stained and dated carpets and furniture. Wet bar area has a spot for a mini fridge, but it is an empty cabinet. You must use the fridge in the bedroom, which we found a little odd. Valet staff were very friendly, and although I never used valet, each time I passed one of them, they greeted me with a smile, and usually asked how my day was. There is offsite parking for $8 per day. The parking garage is attached to the hotel via underground tunnel/mall area. We did not eat at any of their restaurants, as they were closed for private events for eclipse patrons that reserved in advance. We did use the club lounge on the second floor. It was small, but comfortable. The coffee machine was broken for 90% of our stay, and when it was finally fixed, it produced coffee that was putrid and undrinkable. They served tasty snacks in the evening. We had sweet/spicy shrimp. And they had eggs, sausage patties, and cheesy hash brown potatoes in the morning, along with other standard items youd find at a continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay overall, however this property could use an update/renovation, and perhaps it could improve with front desk staff/service. By no means are either of those comments where they could improve a deal breaker, as we would stay here again 100%. Just leaving an honest review, when compared to other Marriott properties/experiences Ive had.

Fantastic service. You will want to use the valet parking ($25). Comfortable bed, reasonably quiet the night we were there. Dont miss the restaurant, top floor, with enormous balcony, or the billiard table in the lobby.
