Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Toledo North

Got a reservation. Did an online check in and... It was closed due to fire. How is this even possible???

My husband and myself enjoyed our stay and the staff was absolutely great! We look forward to going back there the next time around. Food & drinks: Every morning there was a great breakfast set up with coffee and juices. We really enjoyed it.

Very rundown and unsafe. Stairwells and hallways were dirty, hotel bathroom had broken shelves, wallpaper was pealing, electrical tape was on our door handle, dirty diapers in the hallway, and workers would keep one of the exit doors propped open with a rock for their smoke breaks; even when they werent outside! Truly sad how bad this place has gotten, we will never come back.

This hotel is boarded up as it suffered a major fire November 30th, 2022. This did not stop this hotel from taking a reservation in December 2022 for the end of April 2023. M family discovered the hotel boarded up with no trespass signs posted on the day of our reservation. We received a reminder of our reservation the day before we were to arrive to this hotel that has been boarded up for FIVE months. On a positive note they are allowing for no cancellation fees to be applied to any reservation changed through September 30, 2023. Also was informed that hotel forgot to turn off their online reservation system which allowed for us to book in December. I do wonder why the hotel then has not automatically cancelled all reservations booked between November 30, 2022-September 30, 2023. The hotel my family went to down the street told us that they have had multiple people who show up there after seeing the no trespassing signs and boarded up hotel that they have a reservation at. This is happening to multiple people it seems months later. Safety: Currently unsafe due to fire damage and no entry allowed. Good usage of no trespassing signs to inform about this safety hazard.
