Working with Adam Smith has been an a breath of fresh air! His helpful attitude and willingness to answer questions was such a wonderful change from our past experience. His office provides in house payroll and bookkeeping and the systems he has in place to manage it all are superb. His knowledge of the law is clear and I feel 100% confident this was the best move for our business. So thankful to have such awesome help with this essential piece of our livelihood. Thank you.

The fees are OUTRAGEOUS- the most we ever paid was $750 and that included LLC and several states for personal. Moved to Edmond, chose Brian, filed one federal and one state and the charge was $1700!! When asked for a breakdown of fees, was emailed a generic reply. When stated dissatisfaction, never heard from him again.

This was one of the strangest and possibly one of the worst experiences I've had trying to engage with and hire a professional services firm. L Myles Smith & Co was recommended to me by another accountant. After I was put in touch with them, I spoke with Tim. The conversation wasn't particularly helpful; no processes were explained, I was given no information about what makes L Myles Smith & Co a quality firm, and was more or less just told the price of their services. When I received a quote, I wanted to do my due diligence and find out what made the firm better than others. I have an extensive network of friends and colleagues who are seasoned business owners and a number of them said the price points were above average and higher than what they were charged. When I asked Tim to help me understand "What makes LMS different from another firm who would charge me a more average price?", he seemed offended and responded, "You get what you pay for. Were good at what we do and we add a lot of value to our clients lives. These are our minimum prices and I personally dont know many CPA practices that charge much less than this...". I followed up and asked him to elaborate with case studies, testimonials, references - just something to give me reassurance because his response didn't give me any concrete reasons what made his firm good. His response was again unhelpful, so I said, "I think it's in my best interest to speak to a few firms before moving forward. I will circle back if I have any questions or decide L. Myles Smith & Company is the best fit. Thank you for your time up to this point." His last email said, "It would be best that you engage a different practice moving forward than LMS CPAs. Thank you for your time and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors." So, it seems that if you want any level of detail about this firm or what makes them good, they (or maybe just Tim) will be unable or unwilling to help you. Maybe they do do good work. I can't speak to the quality of their deliverables or service when you're a client which is why I'm not leaving an unreasonable rating. But this experience was so bad that I think it's worth sharing.

I started seeing Adam Smith for my tax and small business needs in 2011 at which time they formed an LLC for me, filed my 2010 taxes and even re-filed my 2008 and 2009 taxes which was a tremendous benefit. They are on point with their advice, quick to respond, patient with my endless questions and I never feel rushed when either consulting the phone or meeting in person. One instance I would like to highlight is when Adam actually came to my house to help my wife and I set up new software on our computer to support our small business. Their fees are a bit higher than others but you absolutely get what you pay for. Ive found over and over that paying a premium for extraordinary and outstanding talent has always put money back or kept money in my pocket. I highly recommend their services.
