Colcord Hotel Oklahoma City, Curio Collection by Hilton

I spent one night at the historic Colcord hotel in Oklahoma City. I upgraded to a window-filled corner room on the top floor to take advantage of the city and sunset views. Sadly, not one of the eight windows was clean enough to see through since they were all filthy. I turned on the TV and called up a movie. The TV screen was filled with an error message that I could not get to go away. I called the front desk and the young lady said yeah, thats a problem we have, the TVs wont play 4K. Sorry. OK. Thought I would just have a nice relaxing soak in the good looking soaking tub. Even after five minutes of coaxing hot water out of the spout, the water temperature never got above tepid. So no views, no television, and no soak. Dinner in the on-site Flint Kitchen restaurant was quite good. Hotel and restaurant staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I see no compelling reason to stay here again.

Stayed here for a date night to the thunder game. Vallet was quick and friendly. Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, and beautifully decorated during the holidays. We ate dinner after the game at their restaurant and it was great as well. Probably my new favorite place to stay when in okc.

Let's start from the beginning valet was absolutely amazing and fast. Check in was seamless thorough and very polite. We reserved the oversized superior corner king suite which boast complimentary robes and slippers with a view of the myriad gardens. The room was clean until we looked at the sheets full of yellow stains. Housekeeping came up right away and changed the sheets. There were no robes, no slippers, and no view as the website claims. The only view we had was of the roof of the griffin media building and the breezeway next to the colcord. They charge $30 for valet which is no big deal because we couldn't see where parking was anyway. We reserved the room for a staycation away from the kids but the sitter backed out last minute so a trip for 2 became for 4. They readily provided a comfy rollaway bed. The 7 yo loved it. All in all it was a good stay but for the price I expected a great stay and all the amenities a suite should have. 1 night $330 no real amenities. We stayed in room 1003.
