Great Homestead experience,
This was coordinated as a field trip - definitely coordinate with them in advance to arrange a visit.
Owners Nick and his wife are devoted to preserving and recreating this neat Homestead and giving visitors a chance to experience what might have been like for early settlers to Oklahoma.
A few farm animals are kindly and lovingly tended to, with roomy and clean cages to protect animals and visitors alike.
Visiting end of Nov, we saw a "Storybook trail" with images from the Laura Ingalls Wilder book "Little House In The Big Woods" along with actual items or nice but touchable replicas of items mentioned in the book - like animal pelts, drying herbs, and winter gourds, a wooden recreation of Pa's gun, and fiddle and Ma's butter churn that my boys took a turn churning a bit.
Great experience and well worth the trip from OKC.
