I found Meredith because I was experiencing repeat injuries that stopped me from any activity and figured my running career was done. After working for 6 months I run pain free, and actually enjoy it again. I recommend East Coast Run project to anyone who wants to run faster and pain free. The support given throughout my experience was invaluable and made me feel like I wasnt just another name in her book.

By far, the best running coach and program you could ask for. I was super skeptical until I went to my first coaching session. I have learned so much and now I love to run!

I have been working with ECR for almost 3 months. We have made improvements to my form and increased my cadence. I can now run faster with less perceived effort. I also enjoy the strength workouts. This is the most consistent I've been with strength training over the span of 3 months. Both the run and strength workouts continue to evolve and challenge me. I chose ECR because of the totally body approach to training - it's nice having a mix in the routine. Communication and personalization were also important to me when selecting a coach and I've found that with ECR too. If you're looking to become more efficient, stronger, faster and less injury prone, I highly recommend ECR.

I'm an overweight, forty-something father of two who used to love running, but due to things like multiple injuries, work and juggling after school activities, I fell out of shape and had a very difficult time getting back into a regular exercise regimen. That is, until I met Meredith at the East Coast Run Project. I've been working out with Meredith since late August and I'm very happy to report that I just finished a 5 mile run! And I'm not hobbling around or in so much pain that I can't do any exercise for the rest of the week. Meredith developed a schedule that fits into my lifestyle and has added enough variety that I actually feel stronger after every workout! While there are many critical success factors that make up Meredith's "secret sauce" approach to running, one of them is changing the way you run. Meredith spent a lot of time with me, retraining me on how to run without injury: how to place my feet so that I connect with the ground under my center of gravity which pretty much eliminates the jarring impact of running on your bones and joints. It felt strange at first but Meredith is a good and patient teacher who communicates really well: she repeatedly\consistently tweaked my form and helped me connect the dots between the new style of running I was learning and the soreness I'd feel in different parts of my feet\knees and what I could do to assuage the pain: strengthening my glutes and hamstrings. Unlike other coaches I've had in the past, Meredith leverages a whole body approach to running: she not only focuses on form but everything else that's connected to running like breathing, pace, nutrition, mind-set, rolling, stretching, and both the importance of strength and cross-training. She also understands the whole body and how different "systems" in your body work together. She's exceptionally bright but not at all supercilious: working out with Meredith is like spending time with an elite athlete whose sole focus is on making you the best runner you can be.
