Complete waste of time Put a loan out for competitive bid and of course loandepot was one of the first to reposted. The loan officer John Ruff contacted me and assured my objectives were easily obtainable and the loan and he was certain we could get this done quickly. So I paid the filling fees and paperwork was exchanged and the process was started. Then about a week into to process I was advised that loandepots computer system had been "hacked" and quite a bit of customer information had been compromised and all loans were being delayed while the problem was being resolved. After a lengthy delay an appraisal was done which I contested, John Ruff advised he was looking into the appraisal issue but that he was sure he could still do the loan, and would "call me right back" Over a week later, I recieve a email stating that loan depot was denying the loan. Not surprised, but when I asked if they were refunding my initial deposit I was told no. Even though John had told me those fees were refunded if the loan did not go through. So Thank you loandepot for wasting over 30days of my time, compromising my personal information in a hack and refusing to refund my fees as you had previously stated you would. I will certainly never recommend anyone ever consider Loandepot as a reputable lender.
