Hi there! I think there may have been a miscommunication here and I apologize for that. I had a couple people from this wedding party reach out about childcare for the weekend specified a couple months back, to which I told each person I was more than happy to do it but that weekend spots were not reserved as yours until payments were made and told each of the callers how to make a payment to reserve the spaces. I do not block out weekends for people until after payments are made so I do not end up giving up my weekends with my own children/family and then have people change their mind/not show up etc after I’ve already planned my time around them needing care. No payments were ever received. I called the original person that had sounded like they were putting it all together (?) a few weeks later to confirm if the spots were still needed as I hadn’t received any payments for spots to be reserved and never got any confirmation back from them. At that point, I assumed care had been figured out elsewhere or the likes as there hadn’t been any further communication nor any spots reserved. I then received a Venmo payment out of the blue, 24hrs before care was requested to be provided to which I refunded immediately as I no longer had spots to offer for that weekend due to RSV being so bad in the area right now and already having my infant hospitalized for 5 days due to it, I chose not to risk it further and had already made the choice not to have any additional children in my home for the weekend to limit unnecessary exposure again. However, my choosing to have been closed that weekend was neither here nor there at that point, because spots had never been claimed prior regardless so I had no idea anyone was even planning on utilizing my services. Had spots been claimed and reserved beforehand, I would have held to that reservation and been more than happy to take them. However, I had no notice, information, reservations etc until 24hrs beforehand which is not how I offer weekends as that would just leave me here and open every weekend in case someone just happens to need care at the drop of a hat and that’s just not plausible. I am sorry if there was a break down in communication from the different parties etc.
