TLDR; They have no attention to detail and might mess up your real estate transaction if you arent paying close enough attention. I recently sold a home with multiple owners and Ticor Title took care of all the titling needs for the transaction. From the very beginning there were issues, beginning with them misspelling one of the parties names on the paperwork. We notified them of this and they said it would be rectified. They sent out mobile notaries to complete closing paperwork and not only was one of the sellers names still misspelled, but everyone received additional documents in their stack that belonged to a completely different transaction. When we (there were four sellers) notified them of this, they said everything was fine and they would get out the missing paperwork for us to sign in the next couple of days which was alarming because it was a Monday and we were supposed to close on that Thursday. I ended up having to contact them back 24 hours later to get the docs sent out to everyone who had been patiently waiting to finish the paperwork that shouldve already been done. We were assured that our close would still take place on Thursday. Thursday came and went and some excuses were made as to why we could no longer close on that day and we were told it would be on Friday instead. On Friday they made the unfortunate decision of waiting to record our sale until the end of the day. I had to reach out in order to learn this information and at this time they informed me that due to it being recorded so late in the day, no wire transfers would take place until Monday. This lack of urgency on Ticor Titles part essentially caused a four day delay in even initiating the transfers. They finally initiated my transfer on Monday, not on Friday as they stated they would, which resulted in me having to actually wait until Tuesday to receive my funds. Two of the four parties did not receive the paper checks that were requested. One had to visit their office in person to remedy it and the other had to switch to doing a wire transfer. This is now 11 days after the close and we were told the checks would be overnighted to us. In the end everything finally worked out, but in my opinion, a company who handles transactions valued in the hundreds of thousands of dollars or more should be working meticulously and diligently to ensure that these transactions and the paperwork for them are executed flawlessly. It cost a lot of money to work with them and it was a very stressful process to say the least. If you have a choice in the matter, I would recommend choosing any other company.
