Simply put, this is one of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done. The reward to effort ratio is amazing. First off though, the road up is an adventure itself and you must absolutely have a high clearance vehicle at the very least to handle the bumpy dirt road and uneven terrain. There's also multiple parts of the road that barely can fit two cars next to each other, so be prepared depending when you are heading up or down to deal with that. The trail itself is a super easy, but absolutely gorgeous 1+ mile meander next to a small steam with stunning views of Broken Top and Mt Bachelor in the rear surrounded by beautiful forests. That little part of the hike alone is worth the price of admission. Once you get to the broken top trail junction it gets uphill fast and relatively steep, so be prepared for some extra exertion. Definitely no walk in the park, but the views up the steep parts are just as stunning with rivers coming down from the mountain and expansive views of the whole Three Sisters Wilderness. Of course, the main destination, No Name Lake at the base of Broken Top is just absolutely stunning. Completely beautiful and awe inspiring. For a relatively short round trip hike, though very steep in parts, you are getting so much views and stunning landscape it's no wonder this hike is so popular! Absolutely worth the effort, permitting, and the drive up the mountain to so this trail!

Great trailhead to get into Broken Top's No Name Lake. Perfect for pups since it follows the ditch the first mile and a half or so.
