I just started taking lessons here, and its amazing! The studio itself is nice and clean, and well organized. It has nice floors and mirrors if you want to check your positioning, a bathroom, kitchen sink where you can refill water, and a variety of tools (punching bags etc). You can wear shoes-or not. The instructor, Tim, is awesome. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and went home pumped! I couldn't wait to practice what I learned in class, and check out the book he loaned me. Tim is really helpful- he can literally just watch and be able to tell you in a second how to improve your strike, or your stance, or whatever it is that kept you from delivering your best, and he can also tell you what you did RIGHT, how you landed right where you needed to be. He had practical advice and practice to take home with me, ways to improve on what Im learning even while Im doing regular things at home. Tim has a resume that should leave people lined up at his door waiting to get in. (When you go in, ask him about his experience, its really impressive, and interesting.) Hes also family oriented, smart, has a good sense of humor, and genuinely wants you to succeed...everything about how he runs his business shows that he wants you to succeed. (When you try it out, youll understand what i mean. he truly wants you to be your best and do your best, and he is glad to he a part of that process!) the program itself, from what i gather after a couple of lessons, is great- with effective fundamentals that can be learned and remembered fairly quickly- and then it carries into the specifics that build on those fundamentals, and those specifics (how you strike, from where, how. long your arms are, how far away you are, and so on, ) can really be tailored to the individual- what you can do in a specific moment, in a specific situation, with your specific self. i left feeling like i know where to start and what to practice at home, to reinforce those fundamentals. Things can be modified for YOU to be able to carry out the most effective defense for yourself, so don't be discouraged if youre older, or smaller, or have limited range of motion somewhere. try it out, i think youll find that there are ways that work for you, to be able to protect yourself! also, its a good workout! i used muscles i forgot i even HAD! I am totally new to this, Im a homeschooling mom of three kids, I was intimidated because this is out of my comfort zone but right off the bat, I loved it, I cant wait for my next class and I cant recommend it highly enough! It's good for anybody to be able to protect themselves and their own. it's serious, challenging, and fun too. I finally feel like Ive found my "thing"! Definitely try this out!

I love this place. I especially appreciated the fact that as you learn, you can learn at your own pace and in ways that benefit your own body. You learn in such a way that your movements feel natural and not forced. Tims teaching style free, not robotic, he provides constructive feedback. I feel like I learned a lot in a short amount of time and Im really looking forward to my next class!

Absolutely loved this place. I felt so safe and had a ton of fun. Highly recommend!
