        I have been up here a few times over the years but I just recently tried to go kayaking for the first time here and didn't even get the boats in the water before we changed our mind. There were a bunch of homeless people living right by the little boat launch/ parking lot area and some of them kept wandering back and forth up and down the road yelling and just being creepy. Human poop in the grass next to the parking lot and tons of bee's "ground hornets" everywhere we set our kayaks right on a nest in the grass without even knowing it and one of us got stung instantly. The water was not clean it had some floating sluge on top Basically not a fun experience and would not recommend the lake area. If you like snow wheeling or just exploring back roads I would recommend this place for that.
