Very hospitable and friendly staff. Took care of us during our stay. Comfortable, clean, and cant beat its location to beach and in town where everything is walkable. Rooms: Clean and comfortable beds and pillows, small kitchenette with basics, the mini fridge was a larger one and kept food very cold. Great size for our family of 4. Our room had two TVs. Bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that smells really good, like different essential oils. The lotion has aloe vera in it which was great for my hubby who got a little sun burned. This time we stayed in a non-view room, but we have stayed in rooms with view during previous stays & really enjoyed the view from the room. Nearby activities: Walk to Haystack Rock on the beach, drive to Ecola State Park (10 min) for beautiful views and hiking, Seaside Aquarium is ~20 min drive away and good for kids, Hug Point at low tide, they have bicycles/tricycles you can rent and ride around haystack rock, go to the kite shop, playground, just to name a few things! Walkability: 10/10 Coffee house and local restaurants are very close by as well as shopping. There is a small market for groceries or anything you may need (ie. buy firewood to have a campfire on the beach) all within short walking distance. Noteworthy details: Awesome beach access. Provide chocolate chip cookies, coffee/cocoa/hot cider, granola bars and samples of taffy at the front desk. Very hospitable and took care of our needs. Hot tub overlooks the beach and is reservable so you have it for yourself while in use. We used the grill to make some hot dogs and had a picnic on the lawn that overlooks the beach.

Best possible location and very good service, with strong wifi and just enough kitchen things to make coffee or a pot of boxed pasta for the kids. But the mattresses and sheets were only okay, while the pull out couch mattress was really bad, and there is no central air. They gave us a mattress topper that helped, when we asked, as well as a box fan although some people might not be able to sleep with those. There would definitely not be enough kitchen stuff to really cook in the room, but we didn't expect to. We would absolutely come back. Just know that it's about what you might expect in a historic beach town and not a resort.

Our family visits every summer and we love it! Great location you can walk to get ice cream, go to lunch, or do a little shopping. The rooms are clean and the kitchenette allows you to eat in as well. The grounds are spruced up each morning and the ocean front views with your own private seating area perfection. Walkability: Close to everything!
