I've stayed in motels/hotels one corner of the United States to the next, then from the other one to the next. The other day I was going to look at Crater Lake, so I drove there from Bend (though it turned out to be closed due to snow still there). So I turned off to Diamond Lake and meandered towards the coast. The road from there, named Douglas County Hwy 1, or Tiller Trail Hwy...well, it's about 50 miles of stunningly beautiful scenery the entire way: the entire way. Stunningly beautiful. It heads toward the coast from Diamond Lake turnoff, at the end of which lays the little town of Canyonville, Oregon. In a word: quaint. There I discovered this little Travelodge by Wyndham: Canyonville Inn. What a pleasant surprise. It's tucked away next to the freeway (though from inside the motel you'll not hear the highway). Reasonably priced (as well, they price match), quiet, exceptionally clean, the bed I slept in was like laying on a cloud I'd guess; well run and maintained, pleasant staff all around, a little creek runs next to it... my sincere compliments to Amanda who "took over" a short while ago she told me. I encourage everyone to come this way and stay a night or two or (if I didn't have to move on) three or more. I promise you'll not be disappointed; only thoroughly rested and satisfied. Wonderful job you've done, Amanda, with this place. Wonderful place for anyone to stay. It is perfect. I mean that. Thank you. ~ Well, my bad. It's said that while going through "life," fail not to stop and smell the roses, at least once in awhile. Thus, I've decided to do so staying here one more night. Totally relaxing. And the flowers, the trees, all the greenery surrounding smell and look wonderful. I encourage you: come visit.
