We booked with Ballard excited about the positive reviews and the appeal of working with a small local family run business. The prices were competitive. We contracted out a large concrete patio (16 x 44), a front retaining wall and walkway. The concrete batch they received was bad (which they have acknowledged in writing) - but only half of the bad concrete was replaced and the rest poorly patched. Not only is the bad concrete an eyesore but within a week of pouring the front retaining wall and walkway have already cracked. The back patio pad was poured in two batches and doesn't match in color or surface finish. We told this is just because "one half is dirty" and we should just power wash it. We were also told work we thought was included in the bid was extras and that they had actually done us favors for free. Overall the work was expensive and disappointing in quality and the response to our concerns during and after the project was blown off or excused away. I genuinely wish we had worked with the company in the reviews here because it definitely wasn't our experience and now we are stuck saving again to afford to have someone replace the poor quality work done by Ballard.
