        Unfortunately it was smoke filled when we visited but the facilities were nice and there was decent privacy at most of the camp spots.

        Great campground with some quirks. It is not convenient which is great, it is super quiet. The trade off is that there is very limited cell service. I had to park up near the lodge to work even with a booster. That being said, the sites are very large and level. The staff at this campground are unbelievably nice it is but a little hard to reach a ranger after hours. I had someone help themselves to my campsite while I was on a sunset hike and refuse to move. It took over an hour to get a ranger to evict them. If there had been an actual emergency, that wouldn't have been ideal. There are bears for sure so be smart but I was NOT prepared for the mosquitoes. It was like being in Costa Rica. I looked like I had measles head to to even after coating my entire body in DEET. Also, you get to skip the entry line and are given a 50% discount on your reservation with an annual National Parks pass.

        Everything about crater lake is beautiful. The campsite itself is also overall very nice. Lots of trees and a bear box for food at night is super helpful. A few nice trails right off the campground was a bonus. My negative would be that the bathrooms weren't very well taken care of. Not sure it that was because it was the last week of the season or what, but it could definitely use some cleaning up. Also, it says there are showers there but they have apparently not been in use for over 2 years.
