Wonderful visit, not very busy, only males were present, will be back! What you need to know: Park at the top of the hill across from an adult store and go down a visible path to the railroad tracks. From there, head right until you see a post on the left and dirt trail (if you get to a gated building on the left, you have gone too far). There is a dirt path down that leads to a downed tree with wooden crossbeams nailed down to form a bridge. This path leads to an old gravel/dirt/rock road. This road goes both directions, (different ways to get on the island) but I liked going to the right as the road continues straightforward for half a mile before tapering off with a path on the left that leads to an old picnic area with benches. Just past the benches are some rocks crossing the river. Once you cross the rocks, you have entered the clothing optional island. The main beach/sunbathing area is just beyond this point. Be sure to bring towels (or blankets) to lay on and separate ones if you are getting in the water (whatever goes on the ground will be covered with dirt and debris). Lots of blackberries to eat by mid summer. There is no restroom nearby nor fresh/clean water, so plan ahead. Be safe (whatever your plans are) and enjoy!
