UPDATE feb 28 2024 . in the past i have been reluctant to listen to some others comments that often times , when legal , one should record / document ones interactions with public officials , or it may not have happened ,. Today while at the town hall i was misled into believing that i couldn't attend a council work session in person .Neither lady at the front windows Knew , one lady said that she would look it up on the web site , after looking it up she implied that i couldnt , I walked over to the work session to see what seemed to be some , maybe 6 spectators. Went back to the ladies and said are you sure , the one called back to another office which confirmed to them that it was only online to be seen [ not exact words ] i started to go home then stopped walked back to the meeting entrance door , Looked in to see the chief and mike m. , gestured to them the intent to come in , they both gestured back to come in , and i did . a very good work session i might say . After the meeting a fourth person walked up to me and made it clear about one aspect of public attendance and meetings here . i was thankfull except for a little twist of the facts as to what i had experience appeared . in her explanation . I let it go . Its been my experience with just some employees in this city , that if you try to explain - any - discrepancies in what they are telling you they will come back instantly with i am not going to talk circles with you and that ends that . thanks Erin i have some concerns when it comes to the city employes education on peoples rights to record in public spaces , i will be investigating further . thanks
