    there is a campground here, $19 a night (as of 3/16/24). super quiet and i felt safe even being in the overflow camp spot. right out front. the camp host was such a nice guy also. the trail to the beach isnt the easiest to walk down cause of the horse tracks in the sand but absolutely a beautiful scenery to walk through. i will be returning

    Dogs allowed on paved trail to dunes only - dogs not allowed on beach from here because of snowy plover nesting. Fees: $5 day use fee (US Forest Service, not state)

    Trail is soft deep sand heavily traveled and cut up by horses on rides from local stables. As a result the trail is very bad for foot trafficdeep wells in slippery sand, often with horse dung in them.
