Above and beyond service that truly made you feel like part of the ranch family. The drive there from Portland was also great with lots of natural wonders to see. Check-in was quick and easy, beginning with a quick tour of the B&B and the barn area. Breakfast both days were well prepared, tasty, and fresh with a side of family-like discussions in the dining area with the staff and other guests. Room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Bathroom was well prepared and clean as well. We didnt have kids with us but other guests did and the B&B is both kid and non-kid friendly. The horseback riding was spectacular. First starting off with herding the cows to assist the other ranchers in tagging baby cows then off to the trails with amazing views so difficult to describe in words. Chantelle, our guide, did such a great job talking about the ranch and her day-to-day like as a ranch hand. Now for the above and beyond - on our first night, we originally planned to eat dinner at a nearby restaurant but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed and did not notify the ranch owners or noted on Google Maps so we were concerned we didnt have dinner. The ranch owner, Kara, prepared us very fulfilling dinner even though this was certainly not part of our stay package! So grateful by their kindness that I definitely will stay again! Stay: 2 nights Room: Buckhorn Room Horseback Riding: Oregon High Desert Trail Ride Rooms: Room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Food & drinks: Breakfast was well-prepared. Highly recommend a nearby burger shop called The Drive-In.

Beautiful spot, wonderful people who work there and take care of you...best breakfast going, and wonderful company. Best elk trip...no tags and no guns...almost perfect. The folks that own and operate this place are the "real deal." Looking forward to next years "hunt."

Our hostess Shantelle proved to be an outstanding cook and knowledgeable guide up in the hills chasing cows, wow she can ride! I signed up with my buddy for a bucket list "cowboy experience". For "True Grit" I expected more interaction with the horses dressing and undressing, feeding and brushing. Not that he can read, but hats of to Clancy a great horse for work. He wanted to be out front all day and was sure no one else knew what was going on. Huge heart had my trust from my first sit in the saddle. Morgan also gave great direction on our quest to move cows to fall pasture. Brett was our guide for the second day two hour ride, he killed a rattle snake before our horses knew it was there. Serious consideration for return stay next summer. Sam
