Good Shepherd Medical Group: Emergency Room

Since moving to Hermiston in late 2021, I have been to the Good Shepherd emergency room and their urgent care facility multiple times. I have had nothing, but bad experiences. Sadly, this is the only medical facility in Hermiston. If you can at all avoided using them, I highly recommend that you do.

I was alone. Four hours away from home. I attempted to off myself and was brought here for help. Wonderful doctors, police officers, and first responders in Hermiston Oregon. The nurses and doctor had me laughing and feeling better. The doctor even took time to talk to me. Definitely want to thank everyone here.

Someone I know has been there twice in the last two years. First time was for a seizure. They did nothing for him and sent him on his way. No anti seizure meds, no imaging nothing but labs. I work in the medical field and a person with a first time seizure should at least have some sort of ct of the brain to see what the causes may be. Second experience was he was brought by ambulance for suspected stroke. They did labs and again zero imaging of his brain to rule out a stroke. He had left sided numbness and facial drooping. But because his vitals were normal they released him. His lab work was atrocious and they should be ashamed of themselves for letting a patient go with some of the critical levels he had. They need to get shut down and a malpractice lawsuit against them ASAP

*medical group. Not ER room. They are ridiculously slow on their paperwork! My wife has been trying to get medications filled by this week. Paperwork was sent in from the pharmacy on Wednesday it is now Friday and the doctor of course does not work on fridays. So, the medication that we wanted to fill does not have any refills whatsoever. Dealing with that and then having to get approval every single week for medications that can be easily filled by the pharmacy and then having to deal with the company Good Shepherd medical group every single time we need to refill is ridiculous. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the people are actually. However, they are very very lazy! In fact I'm going to give it one star because of that right now! It is ridiculous how much time it takes to get something done. I have done the footwork for them myself personally multiple times. From pharmacy to medical practice from pharmacy to medical practice back and forth bring paperwork back and forth between them and the pharmacy it is ridiculously wrong what they're doing and fricking lazy!
