Aside from expensive cost of any special item pickup, Waste Management does a decent job of taking away the trash, recycling, and compost\yard waste. However, they also are trying to have a complete monopoly of services in the area, and they are seriously lacking on community consciousness or conscience. Waste Management is persecuting Ridwell, which has an excellent recycling program, and some community outreach. Ridwell recycles many things that Waste Management doesn't touch, while mostly leaving alone the categories that WM does recycle. Ridwell tells us exactly who is recycling each kind of waste, and how. We have no idea what Waste Management does with recyclables. If I had a decent choice, I would not use Waste Management.
