Avamere Rehabilitation of Hillsboro

I just spent 2 weeks at this facility after having surgery at Kaiser Westside to repair a broken femur. I have only good things to say about the staff, nurses, rehab people and Kaiser liaisons who took care of me during my stay. Thanks to all of you. I have a way to go to reach full recovery, but am on my way.

I am sad that I have to give this facility 1 star. The place is an absolute shame. The smell is atrocious, the care is absolutely pitiful and the place is a warehouse of people laying in bed. My mother in law Shirley had to endure 20 days of so called rehab there and I had to advocate daily to get care for her. What has happened to love, compassion,care and respect for our elderly population? Tuality / OHSU AND ABAMERE are the lowest of low for care.

We were visiting Portland for an event and unfortunately my wife fell and fractured her femur bone. After surgery at OHSU they sent her to this facility. I read some of the reviews and had some concerns about the level of care she would receive. We stayed for 18 days and received care that exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely helpful and caring. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is because the facility could use a refresh and some of the equipment is in need of replacement.

Ok somehow got booted after writing twice. I will post after I report this horrid place and the Dr for making false or out of context notes on medical record effecting my future and current care. Until then PLEASE dont let anyone you care about go there. Its beyond bad !
