I went to treatment here in the 2010s, had a crippling heroin addiction that was ruining my life. I had a script for suboxone before I entered but the staff refused to give it to me for the first few days, not because of the medication but because they were worried I'd go into precipitated withdrawal. I explained to them you only need to wait 24 hours, having switched into subs several times I knew when it was time. Still they refused to medicate me with anything other and hydroxyzine, just hyped of Benadryl. My first night at dinner I had told them I wasn't hungry (obviously I was withdrawing from heroin) after they guilted me about not wanting to participate in saying grace they made me sit there until I ate my food. The next morning they work me up at 6am and forced me to go for a run. Again, I was withdrawing from heroin. I should've been laying in bed, medicated for the first week. They said they were equipped to handle detox at the time but they definitely weren't. They treated me like I had already done through the process. I left after about 5 days. Ive been to quite a few treatment centers throughout my addiction/recovery as I was always trying to stop. Out of the seven different rehabs I visited this one was by far the worst. Find somewhere else so they can find recovery in a healthy place.

I was an employee here for 8 years and I can attest to these previous reviews being true. There really are caring counselors who help clients find sobriety....However, the story about the client walking into group while he was being talked about behind his back is also true. And it's a fact that the facility is run down and not well maintained. I was personally embarrassed that new clients would arrive to see the landscaping full of weeds and the front door damaged and ugly. Regarding mayonnaise not being allowed, that's due to the fact that the director hates mayo. Go figure. One thing that always rubbed me the wrong way is that employees with no professional medical training were forced to dispense medications. I will concede that these frustrations can be overlooked if someone really wants to get clean and sober, or really needs a job (at a place that does not offer any paid vacation). I like that Google Reviews allow the public to "Speak Truth to Power".

I was not a client at Paific Ridge, I was only there as support for my boyfriend. From what I saw and everything that I experienced there, it is such a wonderful place. The staff are welcoming and kind. The counselors are out of this world, but in the best way possible. They welcome you like family and want to help in any way they can. I am also going through recovery but like I said I'm not a client there. Even though I'm not a client they still offer ways to help with my addiction. The classes that I'm able to attend as a support system have been very beneficial to me in more ways than one. If you're thinking about getting clean and sober, this is the place to do it.

Its been 12 years since Ive been there but from the experience I had I can honestly say out of the 4 rehabs Ive been to pacific ridge was the best. This place was truly magical. I was only able to afford 2 weeks but what I got out of those 2 weeks was priceless. Everyone was there because they wanted to be there. My whole group was extremely kind, supportive, and serious about recovery. The rooms were cozy like grandmas house, the food was better than most restaurants and you never go hungry, the house was beautiful, its a literal mansion. They had a good program where we broke up the day by playing volleyball, going to the state of the art gym they have on the property, going for walks through the Forrest, playing frisbee golf, and regular meetings about addiction and our recovery. I wish I could live there. This place is a literal utopia, Im tempted to pick up a drug habit again just to go back lol Im dead serious though if you care about yourself or you loved ones do whatever you can to get into this treatment center.
