Before working or dealing with SS Equipment or New Holland Agriculture please read this review!! I have called this company at least 100 times, spent countless hours in transit to and from the dealership and $9,000 in repairs after warranty expired. I purchased a brand new L225 Skid-steer in December of 2015. We have had issues with this piece of equipment since day one. I live in a rural town in Oregon and when we purchase equipment and it doesnt work correctly, its a minimum of 180miles to get somewhere where it can be worked on. This skid-steer is used to move snow in the winter and it kept under cover. I have driven machinery my entire life, while owning and operations my own construction company. When I noticed the skid-steer wasnt running correctly Immediately reached out to our dealership SS Equipment in La Grande, OR. I told them that I felt it wasnt running right and the hydraulics had no touch and I wasnt pleased with how it felt as it was brand new. Their solution to this problem was to slow the machine down and that would solve the problem. Even after they completed that work on the skid-steer it continued to have issues. My next call to SS was in January. It was at this point they suggested we switch out the joint sticks (we have switched out 5 joint sticks to date). We were told New Holland sent out a bad batch of joint sticks and we have to work our way through them. We are now at the point where this skid-steer will stop while you are driving it down the road. It gives an error code (which I have given to the technicians) and it takes 15 minutes at times to start going again. I wont list out all our phone conversations I have had with S&S because there is too many to count and frankly, a waste of time like they were for me. Fast forward to Fall of 2019 while calling time and time again, the service manager (Ron) thought it might be the wiring harness. I loaded up the skid-steer and drove it 180 miles to La Grande. It was in the shop for an entire month! While going through it they discovered there were bear wires in the harness that they fixed. Did that fix it? No. After several MORE calls to the service manager (Ron), suggested it might be a park break issue. A technician come out and when he got here he explained that he didnt have the right equipment to run the proper diagnostics because it was already in use somewhere else. (We were charged $250 for this trip) did that fix the issue? No. Our last conversation with SS Equipment was in February. When talking with Ron I pleaded how this situation is not fair. This piece of machinery should have worked since day one. Ron promised me that he would get in touch with the manufacturer New Holland and he would call me back the next day. It is now nearing the end of March. BEYOND disappointed with SS Equipment and New Holland. We have given them many chances for them to make this right. We will not work with them in the future.
