Prospective buyers should know that there is the Pahlisch way and what most other people do. Example: they advertise "quartz countertops" but in the owner orientation meeting just 2 days before signing we were told that the countertops are a "resin product", not real stone. "Don't put anything hot down on the counter". There are many, many items like that. But if you want a new or late model home in Deschutes county with natural gas under $300,000 then Pahlisch is the "only game in town". be cautious about what the realtor says and realise that the Pahlisch people don't want any deviation from the company policy. Go along or fix it yourself. Keep extra cash to yourself to make your home your own. Don't expect Pahlisch employees to care about what you think. 2nd example: the flat interior paint stains VERY EASILY. Just touch the wall and there will be a mark. I try to never touch the door going in/out, just the door handle. I swear I will spend the next 5 years cleaning black marks off the walls. They should have used an semi-gloss paint that doesn't stain + cleans easier. You don't get what you used to for $250,000 any more. Update: 1/15/21 I keep cleaning up for the sloppy workman. Trash, paint spots on my new patio, nails, food wrappers, it is 2X a month i have to go around with a bag and pick up after them. And its not little bits either. The bag is always full. They are ALWAYS in a rush to get done and move on. And it isn't "under 300,000" anymore, its "low 300's". Good luck!!
