Ben stands out as the most communicative contractor we have ever encountered. His extensive knowledge of his work and understanding of homeowners' dilemmas set him apart. When we faced kitchen water leak damages involving insurance, Ben's ability to communicate with our insurance proved to be a godsend. We had no idea about our rights after the insurance cut the check. Taking advantage of the situation, we addressed other issues around the house. Ben was willing to collaborate with us on various issues, providing beautiful solutions. The highlight of the entire experience was when, with our kitchen out of commission, Ben cooked up his BBQ pulled pork and generously shared it with us! It was not just a small portion; it was a whole dinner for the entire family! Rick, the foreman, did a splendid job on all the repairs. He even took the initiative to fix many other minor things around the house that were not part of the contracted work. His attention to detail made everything fall into place! We still have more repairs to do and we will definitely use them in the future.

I recently purchased a house that needed some remodeling. Typical concerns were price and quality (a tough ask). I contacted over seven different firms, heard back from five, and only three were available in the next two months (given the pandemic of 2020, a lot of people had decided now was the time to remodel). I was very impressed with BME and one other. Both had long wait times. But when Mr. McClurg came out and saw my job he thought he might be able to fit me in between other larger jobs. That willingness to work with the customer, provide a reasonable price and quality workmanship proved to be a real find for me. BME did outstanding work; they accommodated my schedule and worked with me on small changes. BME worked with me to install a new wall and door, updated a closet (enlarging it), and installed electrical and duct work for a second Washer Dryer hookup. Mr. McClurg then oversaw bringing in a team to drywall up all the work, texture and prime it, and followed up with a bid for painting (which I am going to follow up with next year). Mr. McClurg with his years of experience had good oversight on all my requested work, and was invaluable in providing expertise and insight in regard to my sometimes unformed ideas. He worked with me, rather than forcing me to work with him, he provided excellent workmanship, and all for a reasonable price. I plan on using his firm again on my future projects. We hired one of Ben's crews to perform some exterior repair and waterproofing following our purchase of a new home. The crew did an excellent job of communicating project status, updates, and cost considerations throughout the entire process. They showed up to work on time each day, and never no-showed us. The work performed was high quality, and the crew happily answered our questions or explained options of how to get the job done in terms we could understand. When the project was complete Ben walked through all the details with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work performed. Would definitely hire again for future projects.

We've used Ben McClurg for several remodels on our house. My husband is newly disabled and Ben has been great to work with as we adapt our living space. His crew is very skilled and always effeicient. I've recommended him to my neighbors!
