        We worked with Tara and Chief Realty to purchase our first home. Tara made our experience an amazing one and we are so grateful for her and her diligence. Might I add it was during covid and a very difficult time for all. She went above and beyond and was able to accommodate us in showing homes at the drop of a dime. We had made several offers on different homes, which ultimately we where outbid on...like I said "covid". Each time she wrote up a new offer. All while helping us navigate through the difficulties of buying a home. Ultimately, things happen for a reason...we found our dream home and Tara made it happen! Tara worked with the home owner individually and we bought the house at cost! She saved us probably $50,000 due to inflation and crazy home prices with her ability to build a relationship with the home owner and get us in at asking price. We love her, we would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home. PROFESSIONAL, DILIGENT, PERSISTENT!

        The poorest experience with Tara Gelien buying our home then after it was handed over to her in trust she backtracked and created a nightmare for us. Endangered our credit and reputation, then avoided calls and tried to avoid her legal responsibility. Unprofessional, not straightforward and definitely not to be trusted with any professional transactions.

      Asser, apologies for your hardship. Chief Realty understands your review to be connected to a personal matter. Yourself and Shaymae (Gretchen Jones) were not represented by Chief Realty. Regarding your private sale of your floating home:According to Oregon.gov, a floating home title is to have release signatures from all owners and submitted to the Oregon State Marine Board within 30 days from the date of purchase. Tara communicated this to you multiple times as well kept open communication about the other contingencies within your agreement. You did not release interest in the property to Tara at any point and kept her earnest money deposit. There have been two additional sale fails on your home since, unfortunately. Tara hopes she can get her earnest money back from you as her family needs it.As Chief Realty didn’t represent you in any of your private sales, we are unable to help at this point and suggest you seek legal counsel.
