This "City Hall" is corrupt, and they own their own water company. 1/2 of the tenants in Myrtle Creek have a normal water bill except for 1/2 of the other side of the same town (divided by a Creek). If you live in the unfortunate half of this county your water bill will be 130$ a month regardless of your water use, then they charge you 4$ A GALLON thereafter, This is ILLEGAL and unconstitutional. The Myrtle Creek Water department "Claims" that they send you a water bill every month, in your mail, but they do not. The scam to this company is they DON'T send you a water bill, and then illegally shut off your water. Then add extra "re-connect" fees to turn your water back on this is ILLEGAL, and extortion. WHEN.. (not if) they shut off your water twice in a 6 month period they REQUIRE you to pay the 3rd month you haven't used yet in full ( including all the associated fees,) in advance. We hope someday there will be a class action lawsuit in this small town( of which most are retired, and veterans) against the corrupt and illegal practices of this water company. This company is literally the same building as the local Myrtle Creek P.D.(and the City Hall,) is corrupt and in cahoot, And are paying police revenues with our water revenues, (which is supposed to be paid by our taxes, it's not). When you sign a rental agreement in this small town renting a house or apartment these water extortion techniques aren't included in the rental contract, and is an illegal violation of any contract signed (and a violation of your lease agreement as well.)So once you rent here your stuck paying outrageous water bills until your lease is up. If ANYONE is going to start a class action lawsuit against the Myrtle Creek Water Department, please send me an email regarding this matter, count us in, they know that a voice of one can be stifled, a voice of many will be heard. Thank You
