        A nice little wayside away from the bustling tourist area of Newport. Plenty of stops to let the fast-moving local cars & trucks pass along the windy bay side road. Restrooms: Pit toilet. Very clean! Dog-friendliness: It's best to keep dogs on leash because of the nearby road and mudflats. Picnic area: Very sturdy covered picnic table with a spectacular view of the bay.

        Fun spot for a paddle - best if you get the tides right so the incoming can carry you up river and the outgoing down. Lots of wind here in the afternoon too, morning is better Restrooms: Pit toilets, no running water Picnic area: Covered picnic area
