I went to the Confederate Tribes of Umatilla Indian Reservation for a spring break engagement trip with other Whitman College students. Wenix, our guide, was the nicest woman I have met in a long time and went out of her way to make accommodations for us. They let us stay in Nixyaawii and let us use all their facilities. Caleb working with fire management is super knowledgeable and clearly loves and cares about his work just as much as everyone else we met while staying there! Everyone was very welcoming and we met some amazing people including Adrienne, Caleb, Wenix, Claudette, Lloyd Commander, and Acosia among others!! Thank you all for this amazing experience
