Phoenix Family Dentistry

I would not suggest enrolling in services here unless the dental provider is in-network with your health insurance company. This was a difficult review to write. For the most part, the staff at this agency are very friendly. And the services have been more than sufficient. However, on a financial level my experience with them has been an utter trainwreck. My insurance company only allowed $1206 of the agency's $4000 charge, so I was stuck with a massive bill. After talking the matter over with my insurance company, the $4000 charge seems to be far in excess of the usual, customary, and reasonable rate for the service. The insurance company stated that an in-network provider wouldn't be able to collect more than the allowed amount. But because Phoenix Family Dentistry is out-of-network, they said it would be up to them to decide how much they would collect. Phoenix Family Dentistry made it clear in no uncertain terms that they would be collecting the full amount. Ultimately, I know it's the consumer's responsibility to figure out the details of their health insurance. To the credit of Phoenix Family Dentistry, they provided well-intentioned (albeit incomplete) financial guidance from the beginning on the subject of navigating out-of-network benefits. After the problem arose, they initially offered to provide additional documentation to the insurance company to substantiate their amount they charge, but then later were apparently unable or unwilling to do so. It seems possible that the agency's billing practices (e.g., bundling multiple services together under one service code) played a causal role in the billing mishap. When this was addressed with them, their response was simply, "That's just how it is."

Dr White and her staff are extremely professional and personable. Every time I visit the office I am impressed with how clean it is and the level of service they provide. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a new dentist!

I was referred to Dr. White by my sleep doctor. I'm amazed by how much my oral sleep appliance has improved my sleep and overall health... I feel a million times more rested when I wake up in the morning and that makes my whole day better. If you have sleep apnea, I would definitely recommend Dr. White. Also, the assistants were very friendly and helpful with all the questions I had about my insurance. Five stars

I was very pleased at how covid safe and beautifully aesthetically pleasing the office is. The staff was kind and knowledgeable, all around a great experience, especially for someone who is apprehensive in a dentistry setting. I had my teeth whitened there and am loving how sparkly they are!
