This is a gorgeous area of Oregon to explore. Flook Lake is an ancient seabed with petrified wood and jasper. Be aware, it's about 7,700 feet so it's very cold in winter although there was no snow when we went on April 27th. Its better to look up the coordinates for the actual location of Flook lake so you can find it when you're on the mountain and have no internet connection. Don't miss the Hot Springs Campground. Do watch out for rattlesnakes in hot summer weather.
