Summerwood Dental Associates: Julie Spaniel DDS

I'm someone who hates going to the dentist. I was blown away by the knowledge and care of the staff, their actual skills and even the technology they are using in treating patients. This is the most comfortable I have ever felt in a dental chair and I would highly recommend Summerwood to anyone I know!

The staff was great. Very friendly and kind. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during my visit. Dr. Spaniel took the time to explain procedures that needed to be done in away that was easy to understand. I would highly recommend Summerwood Family Dental.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Julie Spaniel's dental office, and I couldn't be more impressed with the exceptional care and service I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. Karen at the front desk is very knowledgeable, kind and understanding. She is great at communication and great at her job! Dr. Spaniel herself is an absolute gem - caring, gentle, and incredibly kind. She took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly explain each step of the process, ensuring that I felt comfortable and informed throughout my visit. Her compassion and dedication to her patients truly shine through in everything she does. Everything Dr. Spaniel does is exceptional. I had several poor experiences in the past with other dentists and I cannot believe the difference between those experiences and the ones I have with Dr. Spaniel. A specific example is that I really dislike receiving numbing shots in my gums. They have always been very painful with my past dentists. I received one today, and Dr. Spaniel took great care to wiggle my cheek and administer the medication slowly. I did not feel any pain! I could not believe it! But I also should not be too surprised, because Dr. Spaniel really really cares about her patients and is extremely gentle. The office itself is top-notch, with state-of-the-art equipment and a meticulous attention to cleanliness. I was amazed by the level of technology available, which not only made my appointment more efficient but also gave me confidence in the quality of care I was receiving. Overall, I cannot recommend Dr. Julie Spaniel and her team highly enough. If you're looking for a dentist who combines expertise with compassion, and operates in a modern and welcoming environment, look no further. Dr. Spaniel is simply the best!

Wow. This is the dental office I have waited all my life for. The whole team was incredible, they offered stellar service at every turn, thought of everything, I could seriously spend another hour here talking about all the considerate details of my visit: Karen getting me all the info and details about my care options for follow-up and fitting me into the schedule in a way that considers my preferences; Kindrah giving me a very gentle and thorough cleaning(they use air polish btw), always kindly offering every accomodation and keeping a friendly rapport; Dr. Spaniel making everything so clear and sparing me no details. Dr. Spaniel really knows her stuff; she noticed everything about my teeth, gums, jaw, mouth - and explained her thoughts well so I could be a partner in my own care. She was so thorough in her evaluation that when we talked about how to maintain my smile I felt good about it not just today, but 10, 20, more years down the line. I was very tired when I first showed up but Alyssa was stellar, she was so efficient with xrays and on the ball. The way this team works is seamless, professional, and authentically kind. Choosing your dentist is kind of a big deal, and for a long time after moving from St Johns, I went to my old place 30 miles away because why risk a change? Then time for an exam rolled around and I thought I would check just in case there was some excellent dentist out this way. Literally it was another google review that made me decide to give Dr. Spaniel at Summerwood a try. So, so glad I did!
