Worst hotel ever, touts itself as dog friendly, which they were but there was no green space, i had to try and keep my dog from stepping on needles and peeing on homeless people. My room had no number on it on 8th floor, and what the F is tapas that means nothing, and breakfast was what? We will see you in the morning but was not included. What was not included either was the 55 dollar off street parking and once it was there you did not get your car back until you left. so no place to eat, no where for dog to pee outside and homeless every where. Could not wait to get out of there.

Called for help booking the hotub room that reviews say is amazing, however the man who answered first said he didnt know what I was talking about. I then explained its all in the reviews and photos and he said we dont have that only bathrooms with tubs. Super confused looking at pictures and reading reviews of a literal hot tub. But oh well I guess.

This is a really fun hotel with a quirky vibe. The rooms are great and the bar is nice but closes early. The elevators tend to have a hard time accepting key cards so it's common to get stuck for a while. My big complaint is with the valet. They only have one guy working and the wait is ridiculous. One guy was yelling and throwing a fit because they couldn't find his car and he had been waiting a long time. So don't stay here if you're on any kind of schedule.

Our first time to Portland and this hotel was perfect. This is an older renovated hotel with fantastic amenities. There is a second story game room with pool and Nintendo switch TV signed out at the front desk. The bartender recommended the steak sandwich and burger. I had the burger and was amazing with 2 thick slab of candied bacon. They also have social hour with free glass of house red or white wine. It was unfortunate the Italian restaurant (Il Saltito) is not open for dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of attractions are within walking distance. They las had a special surprise for our anniversary. Awesome hotel for sure!

Tl;dr- THERE WAS A FIRE. Okay, its complicated, let me explain. First, downtown Portland isnt as bad as some would make it out to be but its a large city so you just have to understand that. We stayed in April fwiw. The hotel is chic and fun. Amenities and staff were cool. This isnt a Holiday Inn so expect to pay for the extra amenities that are usually free at other hotels, but it is an IHG hotel so you can use rewards and such. On the last morning of our stay, the fire alarm went off around 6:30AM. Myself, my wife and my *3 month old* were on the 8th floor and, as you can imagine, took the alarm quite seriously. We rushed down the staircase to the lobby where we were met by front desk staff that explained that a stranger had pulled the fire alarm. PDX, whatever. We were told they were very sorry about that and went back to our room. The fire alarm went off again once back in our room and we chocked that up an error in resetting the system. It was not until a few minutes later and the smell of smoke that we discovered there was, in fact, a fire in a conference room on the 2nd floor. Perhaps the front desk staff were unaware of the issue when we came down the first time or maybe they were trying to save the situation. Idk. Either way, we should not have been so reassured of the false alarm emergency without knowing the full scope of the situation. We did, ya know, just wake up and they *work there*. Cant change the past, but if you have kids, youll understand my irritation with the situation. Havent been able to get a straight answer about what actually happened and definitely never got any kind of were sorry so while our stay was not negative, it was not a positive experience.
