We recently switched from from a more expensive carrier to Allstate through this branch. At every possible point, if it could go wrong, it did. They did not properly communicate with the old insurance company so we were double charged for months. Then when that was resolved, they didn't communicate the change to the mortgage company who then believed we had no insurance and threatened to charge us for a couple of months of insurance provided. When that problem was finally resolved after a couple of weeks we thought everything was fine until today. They processed the payment over the phone on the day I agreed to the policy when our other policy was still technically in effect. But then they wrote the policy to take effect 7 days later. So all this time we've been under the impression that that payment date and policy date were in alignment. Turns out they told the old insurance company to end that coverage on the day we paid but they didn't start the new coverage until a week later. Now we have another threatening letter from the mortgage company wanting to charge us for those 7 days of the gap. Truly the worst experience ever. I can only imagine the nightmares that will happen if we actually need coverage for an event.
