Ross NW Watergardens

I hired Ross Watergardens to design and install a Japanese garden around 3 sides of my condo. Ben Bowen was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He listened with interest to all my ideas and incorporated them wherever they made sense. The design process was a true collaboration. I never felt rushed, even when I needed a few weeks to study up on natives and wildlife friendly plants. Ben always responded within a day or two and got new designs back to me within a week. Once the design was complete, he set a tentative start date and stayed in touch as the date approached, always respectful of my schedule. The design itself is gorgeous - beyond my expectations. The large stones make me think I'm in a mountain hermitage. And the plants are beautiful, even in their winter colors. I can hardly wait for spring. The landscape lead, Efrain, arrived with a crew every day between 8 and 9. They had all the necessary equipment, and worked steadily and efficiently until the job was done - ahead of schedule! They cleaned up at the end of every day and especially well on Fridays. I can't say enough what a pleasure it was to work with Ben and his crew on my garden. Their communication, expertise and professionalism made the project a true delight. Ben and the team at Ross NW Watergardens were an absolute joy to work with. For our backyard renovation we were looking for Palm Springs function/design aesthetic with (mostly) Northwest native plants for low water and low maintenance needs. His company delivered what we wanted, flawlessly. We had heard many contractor horror stories over the years (abandoning projects, etc) but felt like this would not be an issue with Ross NW due to Bens very thorough communication right from the start. He was upfront with what we should expect to pay, the expected timeline from design to completion, and about other projects that were currently in process that may affect ours. Bens attention to detail and ease of explaining abstract concepts is right where it needs to be. We truly hit the jackpot choosing this company for our renovation. Ben was exceptional from the initial meeting and throughout the design process where he was never dogmatic about his design and welcomed any changes we had to the layout or plant selection. He gave many great recommendations but was never pushy about which direction we should go. Once work began, his crew was respectful of our home and our adjacent neighbors. Ben checked in on-site throughout the project and was always in communication with us, via email, about what was coming up next, and any scheduling issues. It has been surreal to see how well this project moved from design to completion and we have is this really our backyard!? moments every time we go outside. Its incredible to have such a serene space to relax and entertain in, and a space that rivals the landscape architecture of many hotels weve stayed in. Ben and his team were wonderful to work with. In the design phase, Ben came up with very good starting concepts and listened to us very well in later design versions. About 1/2 through the process we realized we wanted to switch something in the design and Ben and team were very flexible and presented good solutions, which we really appreciated. Would recommend to anyone looking for a modern landscape!

We cant say enough good things about Ross NW Watergardens! Ben and his team were exactly what we were looking for with our landscaping project. He listened to what we were looking for, provided insights and design ideas that fit within our budget and answered all of our many questions. He also provided thoughtful updates throughout the entire process, which was much appreciated. He has an extremely skilled team thats friendly, works quickly and does quality work. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the end result and look forward to enjoying the beautiful backyard that Ross NW Watergardens created for us!
