I had a filling come out and got an infection. I scheduled to get it pulled, and day of, they rescheduled me a month out. I complained of pain, they said they'd prescribe antibiotics. They didnt. I stuck it out and had the tooth pulled while it was still infected at the Harvard location on Wednesday. Afterwards, the site is now more infected. I got off work and made my way to the office, which closes at 5pm according to Google and their sign outside. 3:40pm it was all closed up. Made calls, nothing. Called Winston location that was also posted as open. Closed. They need to do better. Yeah its dental work, but its healthcare. Now I have to spend my Friday night in urgent care, just to get antibiotics. I'm on OHP. I went straight to Evergreen Urgent Care cuz my mouth is super inflamed and I know it's infected. Sure enough it is. It's super painful! They gave me Augmiten and hydrocodone. I can't afford health insurance so I have OPH. I use the provider for OHP and get an infection. And then when I tried to go to them, they're ghosted me. I called and no answer. Door locked. You go to the Dr. to get help, not get hurt.

Meranda did a great job on my cleaning today. She answered all my questions and explained some things about my teeth that will help me take better care of them. Evelyn and Jessie at the front desk are always helpful and friendly which makes a difference because theyre the first ones you see. Its nice to have this team helping me stay dentally healthy!

At first the staff is really professional and attentive. I have serious anxiety about dental work but they put me at ease. I knew I was in for a severely impacted wisdom tooth extraction and it wasn't going to be fun. They are rather busy so appointments are 3 or 4 months apart. The appointments are quick very little information was explained. They removed a lower molar the wisdom tooth was impacted in so bad it cut a hole in it. I had the same problem in top same side so I kinda had an idea what to expect the wisdom tooth had almost fully come in so was fully exposed. Only they didn't pull them they broke out power tools and scared me. Dr Richard Roberts did the procedure starting with a drill then switching to a saw. That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but then he began breaking the tooth up to get it all out and getting the roots he did inform me they were deep and he might nic a nerve getting them. Which he did giving me numbness in my lip and left a huge lump on my jawbone. What they failed to tell me was they decided to leave the other 3 broken off root tips in. Only after I was in full systemic infection 2 weeks later did I get to see a Dr that I will leave unnamed but he told me a pack of lies as he packed the hole in my mouth as big as a silver dollar. So wide open I can see the bone. He swore to me that in 2 or 3 days all the pain would be gone and no more infection. Still no relief and getting worse was on .y 4th round of anti biotics with nothing working I went to a different dentist and was informed they left the tips in and the infection was setting there. Delaying healing if it will heal at all. If they had shared that with me I would not have moved into a different dental provider all together I now have to have a specialist dig them out. So while I now understand they will do that sometimes to protect nerves preventing facial paralysis. None of this was explained or shared with me by advantage dental. In a world where communication is so quick and easy I would think they would share these things with someone getting a major procedure done and out the door in 30 minutes or less. Maybe emails about the procedure what to expect during and after or print outs to take home. They gave me a syringe and a recipe for salt water. And said 2 or 3 days it will all be better my mouth knows how to close it's own gaping wound. Thank you come again.
