It's a clean store, much better after some employee changes. The Gals and Gents who were not good at customer service, I haven't seen them in quite a while, so the atmosphere has been chipper and more polite since then. The deli, I'm pretty certain that they take the 2+ day old baked meats and slice them for the sandwich meat, selling them as "freshly sliced" but it is not fresh meat. The bakery does a great job, the Safeway in Damascus has more cookie options but worse bakers (overbaked breads and cookies), so choose your fresh baked goods here. The pharmacy is great. However, Safeway has recently decided to stop renting out the electric machines that make things move more smoothly and keep our meds safely locked up, so our medications are back in unsecure placed areas in bags for anyone to see, remember the 1990's? It's unfortunate, but not the pharmacists fault so do not blame them personally. This store hasn't changed in the 5 years I have lived in town, and I like it that way, I know where everything I need is.
