Not bad. Pricing was good for right on the beach. our room was off a dead end road and you could just barely see over the beach. the layout was a bit of a maze. We walked over main downtown for dinner. it was about a little further away than others but I didn't mind. Parking lot was very full and tight. Rooms were older, clean but older.

No complimentary breakfast. We are Best Western rewards members, we stay at BW pretty much exclusively when we travel on family trips - we stayed 10 nights at BW over the past year. The hotel and location are great. The room was pricy ($290 total for one night for an ocean view room during Oregon's school spring break). We had a great time on our short trip to seaside. The one catch - we always, always expect a complimentary breakfast from Best Western. Like I say, 10X in the past year, probably 30 nights in BW hotels in the past 5 years, and we've never not had a complimentary breakfast. Nowhere in the reservation process was it stated that breakfast is not included. Rather than spend ~$50 for a family of four at the onsite restaurant, I opted to go find breakfast elsewhere. Had I known that breakfast was not included, I might have made a different lodging choice.

We are super grateful for the best Western. We got double booked at our previous location and called 15 other places. (( 1:15 am - 2:00am )) Best Western was thankfully open and not far. We were helped by a woman named Bianca ( I hope I spelled that right )) Got us all situated. Gave us great recommendations and a warm welcome. $516 for a top floor, double queen, parking lot view from Friday to Saturday check out Sunday around 11. Lots of places to park, beach is on-site, pet friendly for certain floors. Pool and hot tub available, Cafe downstairs is best described as expensive cafeteria food. Good, and will get you by.

Buckle up- This is gonna be a long one. Check in was at 4pm, which, I think is a bit late but whatever. We booked this hotel because their website, and ads say they are "pet friendly". This is a BALD FACED LIE. We walked up to the counter with 4 people behind the front desk, one lady with rather cool hair was fairly helpful, and after attempting to get the keys to the rooms we already paid for. (2 rooms adjoining, with 2 dogs in one room, and my very quiet cat in the other.) Guess what? Their policy is to only accept DOGS. NO CATS. So, now in a slight panic, I ask why they dont accept cats to the helpful lady, and this guy interjects who clearly wasn't working and just standing around, Told me that they weren't equipped to handle cats, to which I told him I do not wish for him to handle my cat. I had him in a carrier, and had a small CLEAN FRESH litterbox, and a food and water dish. I needed nothing from these people for MY cat. So, after a few minutes of actual arguing and looking up policies and almost just refunding and leaving, the only other helpful employee behind the desk suggests he could call the manager and get it approved, but there would be an EXTRA $250 fee attached to our room. Fantastic. At least we dont have to sleep in the car tonight. So, they dude calls the manager and they say ok, put them in 102A and 103A. both non adjoining rooms, and of FAR inferior quality. -Rooms, shower We paid for Queen beds, adjoining rooms, and an ocean view balcony. We got literally none of those things, and paid an extra $250. We got: 1st. Floor rooms, with windows facing the very trafficked hallway near the exit. adjoining rooms, but not to each other, they went to other families that had very loud children and it sounded like 15 non-behaving dogs. This stressed my cat out so bad he didn't even poop while we were there. (he waited till we got in the car on the way home.) The lighting was kinda dark. The floors were sticky for the first few minutes, I assume it was the cleaning stuff they use, idk. The beds were Fulls, with barely enough room for my wife and I, and we are a bit smaller of a couple than my vacation companions who had the same accommodations. I can't imagine they both slept on the bed at the same time. You could do better. (This is meant for Best Western to see, but really, spend the extra 30 dollars and go somewhere else.)
