Swinging Bridge

The bridge is currently closed. We enjoyed the drive, the short trail, and the view from the the edge.

Getting to this spot on a 100 degree day was challenging, tons of people parked on an ill maintained single lane road with constant traffic in both directions took a good deal of patience, I would not recommend this drive in a vehicle with a small amount of clearance. Hanging bridge is closed for safety but the location was visually stunning and appeared to be a very popular swimming destination.

This is a very neat place, although the swinging bridge itself was barricaded, we found our way on to it anyway. Afterwards we ended up camping in the area. Visit it if you can.

This is truly a magnificent place to visit. Though I will caution you, the drive is a bit treacherous, and it takes quite a bit of time to navigate through. There are so many places to stop along the way before you hit the swinging bridge for swimmingas well. The water is so beautiful and perfect for swimming. There's also bathrooms in several spots. Just be prepared for a slow cliff side drive and caution over others as well. ABOVE ALL! PLEASE pack out what you pack in. This is a beautiful place, and it is so wrong to leave your garbage behind... respect its beauty and help keep it that way.

The experience would have been a lot more enjoyable if the bridge was actually open and we were able to cross it.... So now everybody has to wait on the u s government to get things done Is in a timely manner.... I am sure we all know how excepsexually quick they can be...
