My experience was less than POOR this facility had NONE of the proper certifications paperwork, business licenses, licensing, inspection log, permits, maintenance inspection clearance etc nor were they able to give any documentation that would indicate any form of operating legally as a "business" now nor had once.
Conditions regarding room: absolutely discussing, unsanitary and foul smelling.
(I will spare the details what I saw and experienced I will never entirely recover mentally from.)
They advertise as a restaurant, lodge, ect. However visibly the only employee staffed was the owner who also was the "house keeping, cheff, maintenance, grounds keeper, ect... Probably because of greed as well as no proper business lisences. The inability to pay anyone on the books.
Only thing enjoyable or abstracting from the experience was the nice location. I know people who live right next to this hostel and they are very hard working and respectable people.
The location is in the country side not far commute to the major city of portland. If a more respectable, LEGITIMATE, sanitary establishment was located on the same plot of land it would bring the PERFECT element to this community.
