What a wonderful visit. The two women that run the place gave us all sorts of explanations and details of Sisters' history. Thanks!

This is a delightful addition to Sisters in a recently restored 1930 home on Cascade near the bronze horse statue. The current exhibits tell the story of local indigenous culture and the arrival of Europeans and American settlers. Many of the nicely restored photos are from a treasure trove found in the trunk of an early Sisters area homesteading family, that was discovered in the attic of the old Prineville hospital when it was being torn down. There is a small gift shop with books, artwork and vintage items as well.
