Dear Kris,I am not sure how to answer such a post given the vitriol against our company. I do however want to be kind and give you the benefit of not knowing anything about what we do here at Lane Forest and the costs incurred in doing it. You are suggesting we allow people to dump for no charge; while we recognize your desire to benefit the community, it is equally important for us to ensure that our employees continue to be paid for their hard work. By providing them with steady employment and financial stability, we can continue serving the community.Please allow me to shed light on the expenses involved in operating our recycling yards: Our 200 employees work in 5 locations to receive, process and grind this unprecedented amount of trees and branches from the storm and to maintain the overall organization. We have had to purchase and maintain recycling equipment worth millions of dollars necessary for grinding, processing and loading material. We have semi-trucks needed to transport the material to end users or to a stock pile.
