        It's important to note that I visited in March 2024 when the park was still closed, and probably maintenance activities had not yet started. Beautiful place with great views of the Fern Ridge Reservoir, but in need of major improvements and maintenance. The wood picnic tables had significant rot damage. The parking lot, curb, stairs, and benches were covered in moss. Most trails around the reservoir were inaccessible due to overgrown vegetation and fallen branches.

        This is my favorite park that is along Fern Ridge Reservoir. Theres a volleyball net, a baseball field, many picnic tables in different areas to accommodate several different groups of people, a buoyed off swimming (wading) area for summertime and many beautiful old trees. This location has portapotties available. Picnic area: Many picnic tables in different areas, some on the water, some under trees.
