Cougar Crossing Campground And Day Use Area

Campsite should get a three for minimal privacy, difficult water entry. But it's got terwilliger hotsprings that makes it a must visit. Right on the raging waters

This is a very nice campground. There are 12 sites here, each with a picnic bench and fire pit. Most of the sites have room for multiple tents. It is in a beautiful location as well. Loved my stay here and will be returning in the future. I should note that the road leading to the campground is in very poor condition with many large potholes and long stretches of muddy and slick areas. I recommend a vehicle with high ground clearance.

I really love this little campground. It's really a shame that so many people leave their trash everywhere. It really irks me how little respect people have for our public spaces. I took a little time to clean up the plastic bits I found everywhere. But otherwise this spot has fantastic views and is a short trip away from one of the coolest hot springs I have ever been to. I highly recommend people use this campground as a central spot to explore the area. The whole reservoir is a fantastic sight to behold.

Stayed the night here and got to listen to three drunks screaming and arguing for about 90 minutes. To think I could have been back home in the hood listening to gunshots and sirens? No thanks. Three way trailer-trash rage battle ftw any day.
