Willamette Car Wash

This car wash is wonderful - no brushes grinding someone else's mud/rocks/tar into your paint! The dryers at the end didn't blow my eardrums out either. For $10 it is awesome. The young folks running the machine and wiping it down afterward were terrific too! **UPDATE** Went again 6/30/23 and it's still great! The vacuums are $.75 and they last a long time.

Such a great car wash. Car looks wonderful when finished. Love the way my steering wheel feels after I use the dashboard towel on it.

I frequent this business and am normally happy with the staff and service. But today I left and went to Kaady in Lake Oswego. There was one car ahead of me in the wait line with two or three cars in queue around a curve across a wide gap. Cars entering the wash continued to pull through as the car in front of me stayed stopped. Maybe 5 minutes. I concluded they were waiting for the oil change straight ahead so I pulled around and took a place behind the two cars at the entrance. The occupant laid on her horn then came to my car to tell me to get behind her. At this point there was one car ahead of me besides the one pulling in, making it logistically hard to do that. I stayed put. Then the woman manager came out and literally yelled at me that I should have learned in first grade not to jump lines and to get back in line after the now 8 cars behind where I was. She should have asked me what happened instead of raging on behalf of the woman who lost about two minutes of time. I was genuinely confused about why the driver had not moved into her place in queue. It was a relief to leave there (unwashed) and get to Kaady and meet with normal, sane service people, despite the extra miles and the fact that their service is not as complete. Regional supervisor should meet with the manager on duty and coach her on how to deal with a situation like this, i.e., start by asking questions. Don’t assume. If there is a video of the queue between 12-1 on Oct 1, you can see what happened. An experience like this can permanently lose a customer and there is no need for harshness in response to a reasonable mistake. Was the lady in the white car is the owner’s wife? She obviously had called the site manager to protest but the manager failed to verify the actual situation. Nobody needs this kind of treatment.
