Dr. Jim Durnin

Dr. Durnin is an amazing dentist. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He has a very gentle touch and is always asking after your well being. He recently pulled a wisdom tooth for me, a 67 y/o woman, and did a bone graft on two spaces where teeth were pulled years ago. The graft was successful and were looking at 2 implants. Im so impressed with his patience and care during and after the procedures.

Dr. Durnin and his staff were amazing! I called on a Thursday for my son who was having pain from his wisdom teeth, they were able to get us in the next day to take care of him! All follow up appointments were great! They listened to my son and what was going on and treated accordingly! I recommend Dr. Durnin to everyone! I appreciate the care they showed every appointment!

When I left I told Lacey that you were by far the best dentist I've ever had and she said you were the best employer she's had. Dr. Durnin is an excellent dentist who has a passion for perfection in practicing dentistry and oral surgery. He has performed numerous crowns, root canals, bridges and implants for me in his office and he does everything with exacting perfection. He has an excellent eye for color match and is a perfectionist on that also. He has the latest technology in his office which make the appointments very convenient without having to go to specialists for different procedures. He's most courteous in his discussions and explanations on the questions I have and he has a lot of concern for my comfort during procedures. Beside his research career at OSHU before starting his dental career 10 years ago, I want to thank him for his military service. My family and I feel fortunate to have Dr. Durnin as our dentist. Keep up the great work!!!

Dr Durnin is by far the worst dentist I have been to in my life. I have never met a more incompetent, uncaring, unprofessional person who calls himself a dentist. He sent me for oral surgery, which, I later found out was not completely necessary I have been dealing with dental pain for a year now, and he quite simply cant figure out what is wrong. I have not asked for any pain relief until today. I have been denied adequate pain relief because , he says, I have been given a ton ( his words, really) of pain medication , I have needed pain medication in the last six months. I had a total knee replacement April 11. I was prescribed pain medication by my surgeon (he had no problem prescribing for me what I needed). I stopped that medication weeks ago. I was prescribed a minimal amount of pain medication by the wonderful oral surgeon (Matt Hoidal). After the oral surgery. He had no problem providing pain relief. Dr Durnin is completely lacking anything resembling caring or compassion. He is judge mental, arrogant and unprofessional. The guy just doesnt care, and doesnt know what he is doing. He is totally incompetent as he has been trying to fix what ever issue I am having for a year, and I believe he does not have the foggiest idea what to do. To keep someone in pain, and not even care that a patient may be experiencing pain , as well as the incompetency he has shown, well, you can draw your own conclusions Based on my experience, I would recommend staying away from him. There are plenty of good; caring dentist in this area, and I will be finding one as soon as this is posted. I had to give one star in order to post this. I really want to give minus 5 stars
