Great service and location. Clean and simple. Accommodated my family of 8. Great area to explore up and down the coast. Fishing opportunities everywhere.

This place is lovely if you want something quiet away from the crowds of Manzanita, for example. It was just what we wanted. We kayaked on the bay for hours (no extra charge), bird watched from our porch, took a bath in the deep jetted tub, watched a movie with the fireplace on, etc. We also browsed the Wheeler antique mall and got coffee in town. The room was clean. The place and owners were quirky for sure but friendly and we were charmed. New ownership is coming. I will say it did feel a tad overpriced. a lot of amenities but definitely not luxury. We stayed in #9 and I would stay there again for the price because the view is so lovely but probably wouldnt want to pay as much as I did for any of the other rooms (maybe besides 7.)

Beautiful! The room was super clean upon walking in. The owners were kind and helpful. They let me try their kayak and assisted me on my first try. The rooms provided everything that I needed. I definite return for future vacations.

I didnt get a chance to actually stay at this hotel so I cant speak on the hotel itself. I will however share my experience with booking here. I had a reservation for a room last April, and long story short, I wasnt able to make it to the coast due to a family emergency. It was very last minute and it was a hectic time and I wasnt able to call and cancel. Knowing that, I didnt try to get a refund, not even a partial, I just took the loss. However, I still wanted to stay here so I had talked to the owner (Im assuming) and I apologized about not making it and said I would still love to come check it out and stay here at a later date. I had asked about getting a discounted rate since I wasnt able to get a refund for previous booking and was told that would be fine. Again, I didnt expect a refund for my first booking since I wasnt able to give proper notice. Anyways, fast forward to March 2024, I call to book a room, talk to the same person on the phone, they pull up my information, but now says they will no longer honor the discounted rate because it was rude that I wasnt able to make it back in April. I was out the $200 dollars the first time, I didnt ask for the money back. They still got there money for the night for that room, and also didnt have to pay to have it cleaned or anything. But now Im rude? Its just not how I would do business. Theres plenty of other hotels and I will take my business there. Edit: Again, I didnt expect a refund, nor did I even ask for one. Regardless, I paid full price for the room, you werent out any money even if you did pay the cleaners and the 15% booking fee. If you hadnt already agreed for a discount on a room at a later date, it wouldnt have been a big deal. But to then change your mind and call me rude Did I argue to get my money back? No. Family emergencies happen, and I apologized for not taking time out of the night when I was in a hospital room, but it wasnt on my mind. Hence the reason I didnt even ask for a refund. Does that make sense?

Business Response on Google Mar 30th, 2024
If you had simply called to let us know you couldn't make it, we could have probably filled the room, and there would have been no problem. We are a small mom-and-pop business, and we need people to communicate with us. You might think it is no big deal that you didn't show up because you paid for it, but inconveniences happened. Behind the scenes, everyone else had checked in, and then we stayed up for a couple of hours, waiting for you, or rather no one, to check in. The housekeepers are scheduled based on the number of bookings we had, and then they arrived for nothing to clean, and we paid them for showing up. On top of all of that, the online booking companies charge the hotels 15%! True story. 15%. And it is excruciatingly difficult for us to get that back from a no-show. With common courtesy of a simple phone call, this would have been a completely different story.
