Sparlin Cemetery

The location is very pretty and peaceful. There are sprawling fields and a beautiful vineyard next to the cemetery. The trees on the property are large and give some shade. There is a gravel drive-thru loop road that takes you through the cemetery and back out to the entrance again. All of these rate 5 stars, in my opinion, for a humble, quiet little country cemetery. What did not rate 5 stars was the maintenance. It has not been kept up, and there were some areas where the bushes/grass/weeds were overtaking some of the smaller, older flat headstones. There are many very old stones, it would be a shame for them to disappear into the unkept ground.

I have family buried here. It has beautiful surroundings, but the upkeep is poor. I used to go with my mother to upkeep immediate family, but could not do them all.
